“Health is wealth” This is a saying that probably everyone has heard at least once during their early school years but the importance of this quote and its gravity is not something that people understand till they reach their post-teenage years. In childhood, the only thing that matters to people—when it comes to food—is the taste. If something isn’t pleasing to the tongue, it might as well not exist on the dining table—this is the philosophy that children live by. It is up to their parents to make sure that their beloved children eat the right food, irrespective of the taste, even if they have to force them to do so. But a significant percentage of the youth of our incredible nation that is living away from home and from the strict supervision of parents are free to eat whatever they like without anyone there to stop them. This approach to eating—while definitely awesome for the individual following it—can prove to be disastrous in the long run. |
